Era filho de Frederico Guilherme Fernando Arens\u00a0e Filisbina Augusta Garcia Arens. Casou-se com Lav\u00ednia de Oliveira Caldas e teve os filhos Aracy Arens;\u00a0Odila Arens Caldas(Mem\u00e9);\u00a0Renato Antonio Arens\u00a0e Marina Arens Caldas.<\/p>\n<p>Em 1915, Fernando Arens Jr, junto com Dimitri Sansaud de Lavaud, patenteou, no Escrit\u00f3rio Americano de Marcas e Patentes (USPTO), uma m\u00e1quina para moldagem de tubos met\u00e1licos por for\u00e7a centr\u00edfuga, patente n\u00famero 1.199.353, aprovada em 26 de setembro de 1916.
